Things come to a head when Alice-Miranda and her friends are invited to dinner at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, and the plans of a jealous sister begin to unravel, with startling consequences.

Jacqueline Harvey is the author of the Alice-Miranda and Clementine Rose series. Her first picture book, The Sound of the Sea, was awarded Honour Book in the 2006 CBC Awards.
